Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli are proud to reveal their new baby, a recording label called G-Music, which empowers artists to take control of their “music, work, art, and legacy.”

Guidicelli announced the launch of G-Music on his Facebook page on Saturday, July 26, which was brought to life after the couple poured in “years of dreaming, planning, and learning.”

“It’s finally time. After building G Productions and G Studios, my wife Sarah and I are proud to announce the launch of G-Music, Sarah’s very own recording label,” he began.

“For over 22 years, Sarah has poured her heart and soul into music. Today, she takes the next step: not just to be creatively empowered, but to own the music she creates – her work, her art, her legacy,” he continued.

While thanking their mentors, management, and trusted colleagues for their support, Guidicelli said the label aims to support Geronimo’s music career and open doors for other music artists.

“We’ve also learned that true growth for an artist means understanding both the craft and the business, owning your creations, your voice, and your future,” he said.

“G-Music is built on values of collaboration, respect, transparency, and growth. Our mission is to support Sarah’s music journey and, in time, open doors for other artists who share the same vision,” he further added.

The actor also showed his excitement for Geronimo and SB19’s collab track “Umaaligid,” set to be released on July 30, which marks the label’s first endeavor.

The upcoming song was teased by Geronimo in October 2024, showing a clip of herself and the P-pop powerhouse at a recording booth.

“Umaaligid” is not the first time the singer-actress and SB19 have worked together on a song. They previously joined forces in “Ace Your World,” a collab track released for a Taiwanese tech giant.

Geronimo has long been vocal about wanting to help artists hone and develop their potential. During a launch for an insurance company in June 2023, the “A Very Special Love” star said there are a lot of artists who have a lot of potential, but they just lack the push.

“May mga nakikita kaming potential sa mga artists. [Pero] we feel like kulang ng push. Magaling ang artist na ‘to pero hindi napu-push masyado. Hindi nama-maximize ‘yung talent or capabilities as an artist (We see potential in these artists. However, we feel that they lack the necessary push. This artist is talented, but they’re not being pushed enough. Their talent or capabilities as an artist are not being maximized),” she said. /edv
