Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025: Everything you need to know, expect

TOKYO, Japan — Some of the biggest names in the anime industry will gather at the ninth Crunchyroll Anime Awards on Sunday night, May 25, where fans can witness the excitement and action from Tokyo, Japan.
The ninth anime awards will be live-streamed on Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures Core, and Sony Group Corp Global’s YouTube and Twitch platforms. The pre-show and main show will take place at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively, Philippine time.
Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira will be the ceremony’s presenters, and they will be joined by Grammy award-winning singer Kacey Musgraves, “Stranger Things” stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Plastique Tiara, recording artist d4vd, and Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama, to name a few.
Other pre-show and live ceremony presenters include Ben Whittaker, Chloe Kim, comedy duo Chocolate Planet, Damiano David, Dean Fujioka, Gigguk, Ironmouse, J Balvin, Kanata Hongo, Mayu Matsuoka, Pabllo Vittar, Paloma Mami, Saya Ichikawa, and Zak Penn.
The ceremony will also feature performances by hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, Flow, and LiSA, who is best known for singing the opening theme of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.”
The biggest awards set to be given out in the ceremony are Anime of the Year, Film of the Year, Best Original Anime, Best Continuing Series, and Best New Series, among many others.
Earning the biggest nods at the ceremony are the supernatural thriller “Dan Da Dan” and the fantasy “Solo Leveling” with 19 and 12 nominations, respectively.
