After more than a decade in the entertainment industry, Gabbi Garcia is far from slowing down, as she recently renewed her contract with GMA Network.
Garcia, who emphasizes that she is proud to be a homegrown Kapuso, reflected on the rejections she faced throughout the years.
“When I was younger, I often got rejected in auditions and VTRs. But GMA was one of the few ones who embraced me […] They took a risk with me without even knowing what I have to offer. That was eleven years ago […] I’ve done so much, but I have yet to do so much more,” she said.
Garcia, who began her showbiz career in 2014 in the Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez-starrer “My Destiny,” said that she is now in a place where she wants to explore other genres, specifically a girls’ love (GL) project.
“It’s something that I haven’t done that’s why. Of course, I want to explore other genres. Partner? I’m open to anyone as long as the script is good,” she shared.

Garcia rose to fame after landing the role of Sang’gre Alena in the reboot fantasy series “Encantadia.” In addition to acting, the 26-year-old actress has also recently begun to pursue hosting.
She has hosted “Sunday All Stars,” “Sunday PinaSaya,” “Studio 7,” “All-Out Sundays,” and now she serves as one of the hosts of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.” Garcia also hosted the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and the 2025 edition of the beauty pageant.
Amid the promising prospects of her hosting career, the “Let the Love Begin” actress believes she can provide much more in this field.
“I’ve been hosting for more than a year but I’m not yet ripe. Many more learnings and many more things to do. I have yet so much to unleash in my hosting career,” she said.
Meanwhile, when asked about her relationship with long-term boyfriend actor Khalil Ramos, Garcia admitted that they are already on the stage talking about marriage.
“Of course we talk about that. We are 8 years into the relationship. We are in our late twenties. Khalil is turning 30, I’m turning 27 […] A lot of our friends are getting married, but we are not pressured. We are a chill couple. We are very secure with what we have so we are not easily affected by other noise,” she explained.
