‘Boundary’ wins in Guam fest

Filipino-American filmmaker Benito Bautista’s “Boundary” won the top award, the Grand Jury prize for best narrative feature, at the recently concluded Guam International Film Festival. The indie drama, which stars Ronnie Lazaro and Raymond Bagatsing, previously won the Netpac prize at Cinemalaya and Special Mention at Cinemanila. Meanwhile, a sold-out crowd watched the Guam fest’s opening film, Julius Sotomayor Cena’s “Mga Dayo,” which competed in Cinemalaya this year. Bayani San Diego Jr.
