Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Kiray Celis and her non-showbiz boyfriend, Stephan Estopia, after the actress said yes to the latter’s marriage proposal.
Celis made the engagement announcement by showing moments from when Estopia popped the question at an undisclosed beach, through her Instagram page on Monday, April 21.
The “Goin’ Bulilit” alum could not help but be overwhelmed with emotions as Estopia got down on one knee with a diamond ring.
Present at the proposal, which featured an arch, flowers, warm light-lamps and a fireworks display, were Celis’ parents.

Estopia also shared about the special moment through his Instagram page.

Just over a month prior to the engagement, Celis admitted that she had been bombarded with questions about the next step in their relationship.
Celis, at the time, said she was not ready yet to settle down although she underscored that she and Estopia had been having talks about it.
“Sobra ko siyang pine-pressure. Sabi ko, ‘Gusto ko ganitong singsing ah, dapat ganito kamahal—bla bla bla,” she said. “Pero kasi feeling ko, reasons ko lang ‘yon.”
“Parang late bloomer ako,” she admitted. “Ngayon ko pa lang nafi-feel na parang — uy, ngayon pa lang ako nagdadalaga.”
It was in 2019 when Celis made public her relationship with Estopia, whom she described as the “right person” for her.
