Dani Barretto to Claudia, Basti: ‘Don’t let anyone dim the light of this moment’

Dani Barretto reminded her half-sister Claudia Barretto and brother-in-law Basti Lorenzo to “not let anyone dim the light of your moment” after Claudia’s dad, Dennis Padilla, aired his dismay for being treated as a “visitor” and not as the father of the bride during their recent wedding.
Dani penned a thoughtful letter to Claudia and her husband congratulating them on their relationship milestone.
“Dear Claudia and Basti, Congratulations on this incredible milestone, 10 years in the making. Your love, patience, and commitment have brought you to this moment, and it’s truly something to be celebrated,” she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, April 9.
Dani then reminded the newlyweds to savor every moment, emphasizing that their love deserves to be celebrated.

“Savor every second, hold each other a little tighter, and let your hearts be full. This day is yours, soak in all the joy, the laughter, the love. You deserve every bit of it. Don’t let anything or anyone dim the light of this moment,” she said.
“It’s your story, your love, and your forever beginning. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and love that only grows deeper with time. I love you more than words can ever express [Claudia],” Dani concluded.
Claudia’s intimate wedding got marred by the perceived falling-out between Padilla and his children, which seemingly surfaced during the matrimonial ceremony, as the former posted his grievance on social media: “Grabe kayo! Nabudol niyo [ako]! Father of the bride naging visitor! Galing niyo!” adding, “Sagad sa buto.”
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Padilla lamented that he was not part of the entourage and wasn’t able to escort or walk his daughter down the aisle.
Julia, Claudia and Leon are Padilla’s kids with his former wife Marjorie Barretto.
