Magui Ford, Daniel Padilla’s sister and Karla Estrada’s daughter, recently completed her Bachelor of Arts Double Major in Economics and International Politics at the University of Melbourne in Australia.
Ford took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone, posting photos of her wearing her graduation toga before the campus walls.
“So blessed!! Eternally grateful to my pillars beyond words — my family for loving and encouraging me endlessly; and my friends who’ve kept me grounded. I hold you all very close to my heart,” she wrote in the caption.
Ford also noted in her post that she served as a research associate in Applied International Political Economy at the university’s School of Social and Political Sciences Faculty of Arts.
Estrada congratulated her daughter for the achievement through her Instagram page.
“I am incredibly proud of you, anak, and I truly hope you achieve everything you set your heart on. May your life be filled with love for God, your family, and everyone around you. I will always be here, cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way. Thank you, anak, for your dedication and hard work. Love you Anak,” she wrote.
In the comments section, celebrity friends Mariel Padilla, Ruffa Gutierrez and Jackie Forster, among others, extended their congratulations to both mother and daughter.

Ford is Estrada’s first daughter with former partner Mike Planas.
The University of Melbourne is recognized as Australia’s top university and ranks 13th globally in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.
