‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is vital to the survival of the MCU

Some might feel that the revealed cast thus far for “Avengers: Doomsday” is too big, but it is not like all of them will appear together the entire time during the said movie. They will be spread out, and it is improbable that you would see every single one of them in one scene until, probably, nearing the end. There will be a plotline that will be followed, and depending on the script, it determines who among them will be needed for the scene, so the knee-jerk reaction or anything reactive based on impulse alone is not the way to go because it will ruin your movie experience when “Avengers: Doomsday” comes out. Learn to be patient because more often than not, your patience will be rewarded.
Rest assured that they know what they are doing, and I truly believe that they want to make this the biggest MCU major event that would either surpass what they did with Thanos or, in the worst-case scenario, this could be the last on this epic scale they will ever turn out if this flops, which is not a likelihood. There is less than a 10 percent probability, in my estimation, that this will not become a big box-¢office hit because there is still a long way to go before this gets released in cinemas.
Marvel Studios is putting all of its remaining apples, minus the rotten ones, in one basket; this is going to be their last attempt at a milestone series of movies that are comparable to “The Infinity War Saga,” and the pressure is on. But what some moviegoers may not realize is that almost everything they have been doing towards building up to “Avengers: Doomsday” has been a long time coming. They have to get from one movie to the next, and they have to find a way to connect them all because there are no longer self-contained movies. Almost everything is interconnected to one another, so you must look at it as one big picture rather than one solo entry at a time from the MCU.
The reality is, nearly all moviegoers have an insatiable appetite that the studio must appease because if we are basing this alone on “star power,” then “Avengers: Doomsday” has loads of it. However, in terms of the selection of superheroes, it is a mixed bag; for one reason or another, there are reasons why some superheroes were not chosen to return and why there are some newcomers to fill in the gaps, the void they left behind, and to freshen things up by allowing some new faces to be included this time around.
Then, there is a much bigger reason why certain strongly woke-aligned actors and actresses will not be returning: they cause division among moviegoers, they are divisive in their ideology, and they have done more harm than good, which has always resulted in poor box-office returns, low ticket sales, and short runs in cinemas for the said movies they are lead-starring in, and in a few much worse cases, their movies ended up getting pulled out of cinemas because practically nobody watched them or they were poorly received by moviegoers. I am happy that movie studios have begun to learn from their past mistakes and have listened more to what the fans want and not what certain groups want because, in the end, this should be about being entertaining as much as possible and not being a platform for any other reason than that.
This indicates to me that they are going for quality in their casting choices of actors, both in terms of how they are professionally and personally as people and not only as actors. And that has always been the right method in terms of how you do your casting because if you cast the wrong actors, then nobody will watch. Must I cite examples of those scenarios happening? Haha…. Because we all know who the actors and actresses are, the majority of moviegoers, comic book collectors, and readers do not want to see them in the MCU anymore.

On a different but related point, if some people are upset as to why they got the Russo Brothers again to direct and write this, there is a logical answer to that. The same way when I would read comic books, I would want to read the issues that were written by proven people that have an excellent track record, which would result in the issues they have written being best sellers of the month or all-time great stories, which the majority of the MCU entries are based on, so it is the same mentality with Marvel Studios when they hired the Russo Brothers because of how they handled “The Infinity War Saga,” and they want “Avengers: Doomsday” to be in the best of hands.
The same approach was used with the actors; naturally, they will cast the same people and, of course, they all have gotten older. I mean, we all have grown older as well, so, of course, they all have visibly aged, and even Botox can’t hide that. Haha…. On a more serious note, there is something beautiful about watching your favorites grow old and yet continue to choose to reprise their popular superhero roles, and as they advance in age, the same thing is happening with us fans who have gotten to watch all of them in the many movies they did appear in. Indeed, that is exactly how you build a loyal fanbase, and they have accomplished this.
They are going for continuity because to recast any of them at this point will make no sense; it will be self-defeating, and for sure it would violate something in their contracts, so that clearly cannot be even debated as to why they are returning because there are legalities and technicalities in place there that cannot be broken, and of course, the actors want to resume portraying these globally known superheroes because everyone knows who they are.
Now, when it comes to the actors portraying their respective superheroes, it is a similar frame of thinking for us comic book readers and collectors when we prefer to purchase and read a comic book of our favorite superheroes that were drawn by specific comic book artists. For example, I would always go for an X-Men comic book drawn by Jim Lee and written by Chris Claremont. The same thing goes for movies; you want the proven actors to star in a movie directed by someone who has the resume to back it up. They work hand in hand and will bring the best out of each other.
This reminds me, and this is why I feel it is essential to have at least a few entertainment columnists in any media outlet who happen to also be longtime comic book readers and collectors because we can make those parallelisms, comparisons, and connections with what is going on in the MCU. First of all, we fully understand what is happening because we know that whatever will be shown in cinemas first appeared in its source material, which are the comic books, and we are both constantly in tune to the two mediums of entertainment because one cannot exist without the other, and if you want accuracy, dependability, and credibility, this is the way to go.
In a closing note, “Avengers: Doomsday” has not been released yet, and that is still a long time from happening. The best advice I can give everyone is to simply “enjoy the ride” because inevitably, this will end, and when the MCU is gone, that may be the only time that people would miss it.
