How Michelle Dee, Rhian Ramos knew their friendship would last a lifetime

Michelle Dee and Rhian Ramos have long been admired for their strong friendship, which led to their decision to live together. Despite this, it took some time before they knew that their bond would last for a lifetime.
“I only knew that I wanted to live with her when I traveled with her. And after I lived with her, that’s when I knew that this was my lifetime friend,” Rhian told reporters on the sidelines of a brand launch in Quezon City when asked about the topic.
Dee, on the other hand, said being on the “same wavelength” with Ramos was one of the reasons why the latter was the only person she decided to live with.
“I must say that I have only lived with Rhian and there’s a reason for that. Of course, it’s not easy living with a friend. It’s not for her to live with me also. You have to be on the same page and wavelength. I believe that we’re [on the same wavelength],” she said.
There is a tendency for some to forget their close friends when they get into a relationship. But it is not the case for Ramos and Dee. While the actress has been dating Manila mayoral aspirant Sam Verzosa since 2022, she still makes an effort to be the “wifey” that the beauty queen needs.
“I really believe that our friendship breaks boundaries. She inspires me every single day,” Ramos said of Dee. “It’s funny that [Michelle] is the one calling me masipag because I think that I can’t catch up to her because she’s the most hardworking person I know. I’m inspired to be the best version of myself because Michelle pushes herself to be the best version of herself every time.”

For her part, Dee said she is influenced by Ramos’ hardworking nature, citing it as one of the ways they “pull each other up.”
“I’m a firm believer that you become whom you surround yourself with. I’m so grateful and blessed to be surrounded by a masipag (industrious) and hardworking person. We really pull each other up and we influence each other to really be the best version of ourselves. Kaya (So) for me, it’s a blessing to be [best friends] with Rhian, my wifey,” she said.
Touching on the topic of female friendships, the “Sang’gre” star pointed out that being close to a woman is good for one’s health. “There’s actually proof that it’s good for your health to have female friends around you.”
“It’s not only healthy for women,” she continued. “But it’s healthy for everyone to have female friends or sisters.”
With talks of marriage swirling between Ramos and Verzosa, Dee said that their friendship will always be strong no matter what happens. The couple earlier made headlines after they shared that wedding talks were put on hold due to Verzosa’s election bid.
“Grabe naman! Kailangan din maghanda ni Rhian (You’re too much! Rhian needs to prepare herself too),” Dee laughingly replied when asked about the possibility of Ramos moving out once she decided to get married.
“Rhian and I will be together for the rest of our lives whether that’s in the same house, same village, or same country. Hindi naman mawawala ang relationship namin just because hindi na kami magkasama sa isang bahay (Our relationship will not end just because we won’t be living together in the same house),” she added.
