Kris Aquino‘s son Bimby Aquino Yap has been taking up the role of the man of the house ever since his mother got sick with her autoimmune diseases, but it wasn’t until much recently when his bounden duty became evident to the public.
The 17-year-old Bimby‘s steadfast dedication to Aquino earned the praise of the public after the actress-host’s social media post on Sunday, March 16, showed him taking care of his mother, even carrying around an emaciated Aquino to help alleviate her extreme body pains.
Aquino said her son’s unconditional love is one of the reasons why she could not give up and fight her illness til the end.
“When you are unconditionally loved, when like me you are blessed with a son who will do all to lessen his mama’s physical [and] emotional suffering — HINDI KA SUSUKO… TINITIIS ko yung matinding sakit na parte na ng bawat araw ko dahil ang pagmamahal ng anak ay walang katumbas,” she said.
(When you are unconditionally loved when like me you are blessed with a son who will do all to lessen his mama’s physical [and] emotional suffering — you won’t give up. I am willing to endure the intense pain in my body every day because of my child’s unconditional love without asking for anything in return.)
Among those who commented on Aquino’s post were Pokwang and Padilla, who extolled Bimby for being a kind and caring son. They also prayed for Aquino to have more strength.

Bimby is Aquino’s son with professional basketball player-turned-politician James Yap. They tied the knot in 2005, but their marriage was annulled 7 years later.
