Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada, Janella Salvador vie for CinePanalo 2025 acting awards

Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada and Janella Salvador are among the stars who are competing for top honors in the acting categories in the second edition of CinePanalo film festival.

This year’s nominees include industry veterans and promising newcomers who have demonstrated noteworthy performances in the local film fest. 

Salvador is nominated Best Actress for her performance in the romantic drama “Fleeting” and is up against seasoned actress Ruby Ruiz of “Tigkiliwi.” 

On the other hand, on-screen partners Ilacad and Estrada are both nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actor, respectively, for their performance in their film “Co-Love.”

The student shorts jury consists of renowned directors Victor Villanueva, Tony Reyes.and Emmanuel dela Cruz; noted film critic Lito Zulueta; actress Jan Marini; and Hayagan-Piedad, Cahilig, Bautista and Gonzales. 

The official winners will be announced at the wwards night at Elements Eton Centris, Quezon City, on March 19.

All seven full-length films and the 24 student shorts are currently showing at the Gateway Cineplex 18 in Quezon City.
