Unexpected visitor ruffles pretty starlet’s feathers

/ 08:53 PM September 25, 2012

MARIAN Rivera

TV crew called on Pretty Starlet at home. PS seemed to be the perfect hostess, warmly welcoming guests.

In the middle of the snack-time visit, PS started acting kooky. Suddenly looking harassed, she begged the staff to leave.

Turned out, Unexpected Visitor was on the way.

FEATURED STORIES

Who’s UV? A media-savvy politico, the very same guy being linked to PS in gossip columns.

Hmm, afternoon delight … and morning glory!

UV and PS were also sighted recently in a restaurant—in the wee hours. An enterprising Netizen snapped a cell phone photo of the coosome twosome.

UV and PS didn’t look like they were hiding the affair.

Driver/stalker

Controversial Personality was madly in love with Promising Star, who proved to be gullible enough.

CP went all-out to please PS and family, gamely acting like a virtual servant and driver, according to a mole.

The “friendship” went south soon enough.

Still, CP dogged PS. From slave to stalker?

Day job

High-Flying Veteran bosses around anyone new in the biz. Turned out, HV was also bullied as a fresh-faced neophyte many years ago.

HV appeared too eager in auditioning for a certain plum part. Unimpressed, Seasoned Performer not-so-innocently asked HV: “What’s your background?”

HV enthusiastically replied: “I’m a working student.”

SP exclaimed, loud enough for everyone to hear: “Don’t give up your studies—and don’t quit your day job.”

Looks like HV was scarred for life by that scathing remark?

Drama queen

Remember Closet Hunk who threatened to kill himself after breaking up with Macho Model? CH apparently isn’t a one-man gay.

On the side, CH canoodles with Upstart Cutie, too. As luck would have it, UC belongs to a rival home studio.

Does CH see himself as Juliet to UC’s Romeo? The drama never ends.

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Paolo Contis on rumors that Jennylyn Mercado was the reason he separated from wife Lian Paz: “’Di ko alam kung paano lumabas ’yun. Sana tigilan na nila.” (So, they are to blame now?)

Kris Lawrence on seeing his baby Katy for the first time: “When you look at your baby, you think, ‘Gagawin ko lahat para sa ’yo.’ So, ’di mo talaga mararamdaman yung pagod kapag nakikita mo siya.” (Sounds like commitment.)

Jessica Sanchez, asked whether she feels more Filipino or Mexican: “I think I know more about Filipino culture. I love the food more.” (Doesn’t answer the question, does it?)

Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago on attempting to hook up Heart Evangelista with President Aquino: “Si Heart kasi inosenteng bata. Ito namang si President Aquino masyadong pormal at seryoso, kaya tamang-tama sila. For Heart, ang pinakamagandang asawa ’yung mas matanda sa kanya na aalagaan siya.” (At least she’s not denying it.)

New “Regal Baby” Hayden Kho Jr., asked if he’s ready to take on sexy roles: “Of course there will always be limitations.” (Oh, that flew out the window when we saw what we shouldn’t.)

Vilma Santos on receiving the Lingkod Bayan award from President Aquino: “It means I’m on the right track as a public servant … I’m proud. Mayabang ako dun!” (Way to go!)

JM de Guzman on participating in the 2012 Cosmo Bachelor Bash: “Nung nasa backstage ako, naisip ko, ‘Bakit ako nandito?’ Pero nung rumampa na ako, ang intense!” (And suddenly you knew?)

Heart Evangelista on the status of her relationship with Sen. Chiz Escudero: “I really don’t know what you call it these days. I’m so confused if it’s meeting, dating, or getting-to-know-you … But whatever it is, we’re not officially together. I’m happy, period.” (Whatever floats your boat.)

Heart, asked if she has already met Senator Chiz’s twins: “Oh my gosh, walang comment … I’d like to get to know Chiz.” (Oh my gosh?)

Marian Rivera, asked if everything’s now fine between her and Heart: “Basta OK naman kami … Wala namang problema.” (Well, what did we expect?)

Bea Alonzo on being close friends with ex-lovers John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao: “I talked to John Lloyd about [their breakup], pero ’di ko na ipinaparating kay Shaina, and vice versa. Pareho ko silang nirerespeto as my friends, so ’di ako puwedeng pumagitna dun.” (But that’s what it is.)

Christian Bautista on how his mom’s battle with cancer changed him: “Mas naging close kami. Mas naging thoughtful ako … It’s life-changing.” (That’s the bright side.)

Zsa Zsa Padilla on the three major TV networks uniting for the recent “Dolphy Alay Tawa“ musical tribute: “Mahal si Dolphy ng buong industriya …. Lahat nagkaisa, masaya ’yung gabing ’yun. So, bakit  ’di natin gawin ’to ulit?” (Calling all networks.)

Gretchen Barretto on being told by “Princess and I” director Francis Pasion to take off her pearls before shooting a house scene: “Sabi ko, ‘Why, is it part of the Ten Commandments? Thou shall not wear pearls kapag nasa bahay?” (Vintage Greta.)

Ruffa Gutierrez, asked if she and Shaina Magdayao have reconciled: “Ay, no comment … naku, ano ba ’yan? Goodbye!” (That’s a no.)

Shaina, asked the same question, smiled and said: “God bless you, ’teh!” (Kitam?)
