Actress Cristine Reyes is holding on to hope while her stepfather, Romeo Reyes, battles for his life in the hospital, as she believes “nothing is impossible.”
On her Instagram Story on Friday night, March 14, Cristine shared a photo of her and her daughter Amara posing outside the World Citi Medical Center, where his father is confined.
Without disclosing the reason for the hospitalization, the actress revealed that she rushed to the hospital upon knowing that her father was in critical condition.
“From Baguio to Manila. Nagising ako sa tawag at texts na nag-agaw buhay si daddy. Tumakbo agad ako sa ospital para makita kundisyon niya. Lumalaban pa rin si daddy. walang imposible,” she wrote.

This is the second time that Cristine shared her father’s medical health condition. In 2023, the actress shared that she was in the middle of taping when she found out that her father was hospitalized.
“Pinag-alala mo ko. Namaga mata ko tuloy hindi matakpan ng make-up sa taping. Salamat sa mababait na mga kasama ko sa taping at inalagaan din nila ako ng walang pagtatanong,” she said at the time.
(You made me worry. My eyes were swollen and I couldn’t cover them with makeup during the taping. Thanks to my kind companions at the set because they also took care of me without asking questions.)
Romeo is one of Cristine’s adoptive parents. Last year, Cristine opened up about her biological father from Tawi-tawi, who has already died.
“He’s from Tawi-Tawi, he’s a Muslim. He passed already. Two years ago that was the time before I did the Marcos film ‘Maid in Malacañang.’ I went to Zamboanga because he’s dying. Then he died. That’s when I decided to shut everybody out in the family. Para hindi sila nagsu-support kasi I went there,” she shared at the time.
