After her tribute post to the late Barbie Hsu drew mixed reactions, Cristine Reyes is ready to ignore public criticism as she also channeled her inner Shan Cai in a new post.

Reyes took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to share a selfie with her hair styled in two braided pigtails, resembling the iconic look of Hsu’s Shan Cai from the 2001 hit series “Meteor Garden.”

Earlier this month, Reyes drew cheers and jeers from netizens after she took the moment to wish herself a happy birthday in her post while paying tribute to Hsu, who died of pneumonia caused by influenza complications while on a family trip to Japan.

The “No Other Woman” actress’ post sparked numerous memes on social media as netizens now took delight in inserting “Happy birthday Cristine Reyes” in every serious matter online.

The meme gained traction anew on Monday as Reyes’ former “The Gifted” co-star Anne Curtis celebrated her 40th birthday.

The fans poked fun linking the two to each other as Curtis has also been the subject of online memes after her viral reaction about her birthday and OFWs in 2017.
