Ogie Diaz addressed the supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte, saying they should offer prayers for the latter instead of engaging in arguments and targeting celebrities on social media.

Duterte is currently detained in The Hague in the Netherlands for his crimes against humanity case before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Prayer vigil dapat,” he hoped.

Diaz then pointed out the recent “attacks” against fellow celebrities Kim Chiu and Vhong Navarro, whose “It’s Showtime” spiels were apparently misinterpreted by some netizens as an allusion to Duterte’s current situation.

The crimes against humanity charges against Duterte stemmed from his bloody drug war. The former president made his first appearance on Friday, March 14, before the Pre-Trial Chamber I of the ICC.
