Seventeen’s Wonwoo to enlist in the military on April 3

Seventeen’s Wonwoo is set to begin his mandatory military service on April 3, and no official events will occur on the day of his enlistment.
South Korean music label Pledis Entertainment announced Wonwoo’s enlistment date on the fan community platform on Wednesday, March 5. He will still participate in the group’s “Seventeen in Carat Land” concert and pre-recorded content.
“Hello. This is Pledis Entertainment. We would like to share the news that Wonwoo of Seventeen will be starting his mandatory military service from April 3 this year,” the statement read.
“As announced before, Wonwoo will be participating in the ‘Seventeen in Carat Land’ concert as scheduled from March 20 to 21 and will be appearing in various pre-recorded content,” Pledis further said.

Following his enlistment, Wonwoo will be unable to participate at the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 festival in Mexico and the Japan fan meeting in April.
“There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the site of his alternative military service. Please send your heartfelt messages of support for Wonwoo through Weverse,” Pledis added.
The agency nonetheless hoped that fans (also known as Carats) would show their support for the Seventeen member.
“We ask for your continued love and support for the artist until his safe and healthy return. We will also stay committed to providing Wonwoo with all the necessary support during this time,” he said.
Wonwoo is the second Seventeen member who will enlist in the military after Jeonghan.
He debuted as the rapper and vocalist of Seventeen in May 2015, and is also part of the group’s Hip-Hop unit.
