After Jam Ignacio’s appeal to fix their relationship, disc jockey Jellie Aw announced that their planed wedding is officially off as she remains determined to press charges against her ex-fiancé over an alleged physical assault.
Jellie aired her sentiments on “24 Oras” on Friday, Feb. 21, explaining that while she has forgiven Ignacio, accountability is still necessary.
(I already forgave Jam. But I will continue with the case. There will be no more wedding. The things that we talked about will no longer push through because of what happened.)
The DJ underscored that her decision is also to respect her family, even as she emphasized the possibility of Ignacio doing the same violent act if she takes him back.
(It’s also showing respect to my parents. Because my mom was also very traumatized. It seems like she cries every night. I can’t handle seeing my mother like that. She seems to be the only one left for me.)
Gagawin niya ulit ‘yon mas grabe pa,” she added.
(He can’t just act [violently] just because he was fed up. What if I give him a second chance? What if he becomes fed up with me again? He would hurt me again, even more badly.)
Jellie earlier filed a formal complaint against Ignacio at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), which then issued a subpoena against him.
Ignacio did not initially respond to the summons, but on Friday he appeared before the NBI to file his testimony.
