Kathryn Bernardo and Donny Pangilinan are set to bring their star power to the judging panel of “Pilipinas Got Talent” (PGT) season 7.
PGT officially announced the show’s new slate of judges on its social media pages on Friday, Feb. 21. Joining Bernardo and Pangilinan are comedy star Eugene Domingo and returning judge, business executive Freddie “FMG” Garcia.
Fresh from the success of “Hello Love Again,” Bernardo underscored that serving as one of the judges of the reality competition is a good “interlude” for her.
“It’s something that I want to experience because it’s another first for me. I think it’s a good breaker after doing ‘Hello Love Again’ and before I start a new project,” she said in an interview with TV Patrol.
Considering that the show is returning from a six-year hiatus, Pangilinan emphasized that he looks forward to the many talents that Filipinos will showcase in the new season.
“Nagbreak tayo ng seven years since season six (We took a break for seven years since season six). I know there are so many more talents being brought up […] I’m just so eager to see what the Philippines has to offer. I’m just so glad to be a part of this,” he said.
PGT previously announced that Melai Cantiveros and Robi Domingo would serve as the main hosts for the show’s upcoming season.
Last month, the reality show announced that they would be holding auditions for all aspirants with no age limit, and the “acts could be a solo, duo or group performance.”
“Pilipinas Got Talent,” which first premiered in 2010, has produced winners including the late Jovit Baldivino and falsetto singer Marcelito Pomoy, among others.
