Pauline Amelinckx has put an end to speculation about her Miss Universe Philippines comeback, saying she will not be joining this year’s competition despite the return of other pageant veterans.
The MUPH Charity 2022 titleholder admitted that the thought of rejoining the pageant crossed her mind, but right now her eyes are set elsewhere.
“I’m gonna keep this short and sweet. The support to give MUPH another chance has been immense and it fills me with so much gratitude. I feel so blessed cos of you all. For a moment you all did get me thinking tbh, but I always listen to my gut and heart, and for now they are leading me on a different but equally exciting path,” she captioned her post on Instagram.
Amelinckx then extended her love and best wishes to all the women who are set to vie for the coveted crown.
“Cheers to forging new paths and opening doors. Sending you all my love. One thing’s sure, MUPH2025 will definitely be interesting to behold, wishing all the incredibly phenomenal women the best!” the beauty queen concluded.

Last year, the Filipino-Belgian stunner made her return to the pageantry stage for her third and final shot at the crown, saying that she did not regret “taking a leap” at the time.
“I also knew and felt I would regret it if [I didn’t] take this leap of faith for my final round with MUPH. So, I thought if I still have this passion and ambition in me, and the support is overflowing, what the hell am I waiting for? This is my NOW. My PUHON [transformed] into KARUN (someday into present),” she said.
Amelinckx’s latest pronouncement comes amid heightened anticipation over the local pageant after popular pageant veterans Ahtisa Manalo, Winwyn Marquez, and Yllana Marie Aduana joined the race for the crown.
Also in the race for Miss Universe Philippines 2025 are Bb. Pilipinas queens Chanel Olive Thomas and Chelsea Fernandez; 2019 Mutya ng Pilipinas-Tourism International Tyra Goldman; and 2022 Miss Universe Philippines second runner-up and 2019 Reina Hispanoamericana quinta finalista Katrina Llegado.
