Maymay Entrata dismissed allegations that she used autotune during a performance on “It’s Showtime,” pointing out that she even sang flat in some parts of the song.
The actress-performer addressed this after an X (formerly Twitter) user accused Entrata of using autotune while singing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” in the show’s “Hide and Sing” segment last Saturday, Feb. 8.
Entrata joined the noontime show segment as the celebrity mystery singer, who was initially undercover alongside other mystery singers called TagoKanta.
“Ako ang nahiya para kay Maymay Entrata. Bakit nilagyan ng autotune tapos yung ibang Tagokanta hindi nilagyan?” the netizen said. “Halata tuloy na siya ang Celebrity Singer.”
Entrata, in response, wrote, “Hi po, ma’am. Hindi po naka-autotune yan, may mga flats pa nga po ako e.”
“Sorry If I wasn’t good enough sa inyo. I’ll do better,” she added.

The netizen later issued an apology addressed to the actress, admitting the remark was “unfair.”
“I’m sorry for my tweet about Maymay Entrata’s singing. It was unfair and didn’t reflect the effort she puts into her craft,” the netizen said.
“I acknowledge my mistake and regret any harm it caused. I’ll be more mindful moving forward,” the X user added. “Wishing Maymay continued success!”
