Vice Ganda teases David Licauco about courting a ‘leading lady’
David Licauco was seemingly put in the hot seat after Vice Ganda asked about the former’s thoughts on courting a “leading lady” who just came from a breakup.
Licauco visited “It’s Showtime” as the celebrity player of the show segment “And the Breadwinner Is” on Wednesday, Jan. 8. During the game, Licauco tried to guess who the real choreographer was by inspecting the three participants and asking them a question.
“Pwede bang ligawan ng choreographer ‘yung mga estudyante?” the actor asked one of the participants. (Are choreographers allowed to court their students?)
The noontime show hosts reacted to Licauco’s question, with Vice Ganda turning to the actor and asking a similar question.
“Pwede bang ligawan ng leading man ‘yung leading lady?” the comedian said, earning laughs from Licauco and the other hosts. (Is a leading man allowed to court a leading lady?)

(Can a leading man court a leading lady even if she just came from a breakup?)
Licauco, seemingly speechless from the host’s joke, laughed while scratching his head.
Vice Ganda then noted the “three-month rule” after a breakup while also pointing out that Licauco’s ears turned red after their banter.
While no names were mentioned during Licauco and “It’s Showtime” hosts’ exchange, vice Ganda was seemingly alluding to the actor’s love-team partner, actress Barbie Forteza, who recently broke up with her longtime actor-boyfriend Jak Roberto.
