Many see beauty queens as the image of perfection, but even pageant titleholders — such as the Mutya ng Pilipinas queens — still have some things they want to improve on or work on this 2025.

Mutya ng Pilipinas queens sat with INQUIRER.net before 2024 ended to share what their New Year’s resolutions are, and their aspirations were quite interesting.

Reigning Miss Environment International Shannon Robinson says she is making a “big move” in 2025. “So my New Year’s resolution is to stay present within that, and enjoy every emotion that comes with moving,” she said.

Iona Gibbs, who was in the Top 20 of the 2023 Miss Intercontinental pageant, said she wants to spend more time with herself this year. Many pageant fans are asking if she will return to pageantry, so the singer from Bataan may just be allowing herself some introspection.

Current Mutya ng Pilipinas-Charity Xena Ramos and 2018 Mutya ng Pilipinas first runner-up Justine Teng has time management on their priority list this 2025.

“I think I’m good with time management, [but] I wanna perfect it [even more]. That’s my New Year’s resolution, better time management,” said the architect and actress.

Teng said she tends to get distracted easily. “So I think I just wanna be more focused and more disciplined with the things that I do, [because] I’m doing a lot,” she said.

Alyssa Redondo may have been proclaimed “Best in Swimsuit” in the 2024 Miss Intercontinental pageant, but she hopes to eat healthier in 2025.

“I did not go on a diet during the pageant. But that’s my New Year’s resolution, to eat healthier, and maybe exercise a little more,” said the 2024 Miss Intercontinental second runner-up.

For 2022 Mutya ng Pilipinas-Visayas Megan Campbell, 2025 will be a big year after finishing second in the 2024 World Top Model competition.

“My New Year’s resolution is to prepare for the Milan Fashion Week coming up, to get myself physically fit, [and] also work with the best Philippine pageant trainers to get myself perfect for the Milan fashion show. See you in February,” said the Cebuana lass.
