Support MMFF films, Bongbong Marcos urges the public
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday urged the public to support local films under the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), which is now celebrating its 50th year.
In his video message played at the beginning of each MMFF movies, Marcos urged the public to bring their friends and family to the cinema this holiday season.
“Tangkilikin po natin ang kwentong Pilipino,” Marcos said. “Suportahan po natin ang Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.” (Let’s support Filipino stories. We should support the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.)
“Isama ang buong pamilya, buong barkada, at panoorin ang sampung pelikula na handog ng MMFF,” he added.“Ang panahon ng Kapaskuhan ay panahon upang lalong magsama-sama at magmahalan ang bawat pamilya at ang bawat isa sa atin.” (Bring your families, friends and watch the 10 films from the MMFF. Christmas is a season that makes every family and each and every one of us gather.)
Marcos said this year’s MMFF is special as it features the “golden” stories of the Filipino people.

Dahil ito sa espesyal na selebrasyon na ika-50 taon ng Metro Manila Film Festival na bahagi na ng ating buhay at kultura bilang Pilipino,” Marcos said. “Ang mga magagandang pelikulang kalahok ngayon ng Golden Year ng MMFF ay siguradong magbibigay ng gintong saya at mag-iiwan ng mga ginintuang aral.”
