While not much has been revealed about the comeback, it’s a welcome development for the fandom as this will be the septet’s first collective record after three years, with GOT7’s most recent effort, its self-titled extended play (EP), released in January 2022.
The upcoming album will be GOT7’s second production since leaving its former agency, JYP Entertainment, a move fans have hailed as a testament to the group’s teamwork.
The comeback will also serve as a highlight in celebrating GOT7’s eleventh year in the music industry.
Before the official announcement, the group had casually dropped hints on the group’s comeback. Jinyoung, after being discharged from military service, teased that they were preparing to release an album before the other members enlisted.

Despite being signed to different labels, the members have repeatedly stated that they did not disband as a group and are keeping their promise to always stay as GOT7. Since their exit from their previous company, the members have been collaborating and attending each other’s events while pursuing their solo careers.
“I know that when we left the company, there was a lot of unknown mystery in what was going to happen. But […] we’re still GOT7,” Mark Tuan said during the Manila stop of his “The Other Side” world tour in January this year.
