Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin hope to be part of each other’s future
On-screen partners Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin expressed their desire to keep each other as part of their future lives, hinting at the possibility of taking their friendship to the next level.
During the media conference for their 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), “My Future You,” on Wednesday, Nov. 27, Fedelin said that he’s hopeful that it’s already Diaz, the person meant to be part of his future.
So baka nga siya na,” he said.
(I can’t say that she is my future. Maybe what I want to say is that I hope that she could be in my future. So if the question is did I find it, I can’t say. We can’t say who our soulmates are but in my mind she could be my future. All I can say now is that I am at peace. I can say that I am happy. I am satisfied. So maybe it’s her.)
The 22-year-old actor explained that right now his main focus is to pursue or gain the trust of Diaz’s parents.

We know that our relationship is no joke. It’s no joke to take back the trust of Francine’s parents. It’s no joke what I went through to reach here again holding Francine’s hand. I want them to feel that their child is safe with me.)
At hindi ako nagmamadali,” added the young actor.
(If we come to the time when we will be together, as a man, I’ll make sure she will be the one, I’ll make sure to myself that I will love this girl completely because she deserves it. So when we are asked, ‘Eh, you two are together already,’ it’s not a joke, guys, that we we’ll be together right away. Yes, I’m still working on it for a long time. It will not be in a month. But I’m not in a hurry.)
Fedelin clarified that he’s not courting Diaz yet but only her parents.
Parang mas panliligaw sa magulang kesa kay Francine,” he explained.
(I have no concrete idea that I will start the courtship next year. Maybe not that kind of pursuing. I haven’t thought of courting yet. But it’s like my way of pre-courtship. It’s like courting her parents more than Francine.)
Meanwhile, Diaz admitted that he likes Fedelin as well, but their main focus is their career and family, saying that they will deal leveling their relationship in the future.
Ang gusto ko lang sana sa future ko syempre ayaw ko ng masiyadong romantic, mas gusto ko ‘yung parang bestfriends talaga,” she said.
(I don’t know if this is the right word but I’m not looking for it too much. But I want something. Maybe instead of finding more, I feel like he is already. The only thing I want in my future is, of course, I don’t want something too romantic; I prefer something like best friends.)
“My Future You” will mark the love team’s first movie after starring in several TV series, including “Kadenang Ginto,” “Fractured,” and “Dirty Linen,” in the previous years.
Premiering on Dec. 25, “My Future You” follows the story of Karen (Diaz) and Lex (Fedelin), who meet on an online dating app, but they live in two different timelines, 15 years apart. Their connection is made possible by a comet. Discovering their unusual situation, they team up to change the past and reshape their future.
