Regine Velasquez and Piolo Pascual had an acting reunion, starring as a couple in the music video of the actress-singer’s cover of “Someday.”

The video, shared on Star Music’s YouTube channel on Sunday, Nov. 17, begins with the pair arguing while they are on the way home from a gathering with friends.

Pascual’s character appears annoyed after Velasquez’s character told their friends that he’s not yet ready to get married, despite them living together for over a decade.

“Ano pa bang gusto mo? Bakit ka ba inggit na inggit sa kanila? Proposal lang ‘yan, kasalan lang, papel lang,” the actor said.

(What more do you want? Why are you so envious of them? It’s just a proposal, a marriage, a piece of paper.)

“‘Lang’?” Velasquez asked in turn. “Kung ‘lang’ lang ‘yan, bakit hirap na hirap kang ibigay sa akin?”

(Just a proposal? If it’s just a simple thing then why is it so difficult for you to do that for me?)

Pascual points out that he has been coming home to Velasquez and that they have already built a home.

“Sa’yo ako for more than 10 years. Ano pa bang gusto mo? (I’ve been yours for 10 years. What more do you want?)” he exclaimed, to which she responded, “Pero hirap ka. Ang alam ko ‘pag mahal mo ang isang tao, madali lang lahat.”

(But you have been struggling. If you love someone, everything would be easy.)

The pair resolves their misunderstanding, then encounters a few more bumps but was able to overcome those. Unfortunately, when Pascual has finally made up his mind to propose to Velasquez, she figures in an accident and ends up not being able to come to their meeting place.

The music video marks Velasquez and Pascual’s acting reunion after their 2007 film “Paano Kita Iibigin.”

Meanwhile, “Someday” is part of Velasquez’s studio album “Reginified,” which features her covers of songs of local and international artists.
