Javi Benitez says he's 'closed for renovation' after split with Sue Ramirez

After his breakup with actress Sue Ramirez, Javi Benitez is seemingly taking a break from relationships as he declared that he is “closed for renovation” at the moment.

The Victorias City, Negros Occidental mayor addressed this in a joking manner through his Facebook page on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

“Sa mga ga-submit sang application para mangin girlfriend ko, ‘Closed for Renovation’ pa kita subong!” he said. (To those submitting their application to be my girlfriend, I’m “closed for renovation” for the time being!)

“Focus lang kita sa ubra kag kampanya anay. Mga Maritess, relax lang kamo ha, indi gid kamo mag-una!” added Benitez, who is running for Congress in the 2025 polls.

Benitez and Ramirez were together for five years. In a statement released on Nov. 9, the politician revealed that they parted ways four months ago.

“I wish her nothing but happiness and the love she deserves. Here’s to those good times, held close to my heart and to the grace of whatever lies ahead,” he stated.

Ramirez has yet to address the matter.

Meanwhile, prior to Benitez’s confirmation of their breakup, Ramirez was spotted with actor Dominic Roque in Siargao. The pair, who were seen close to each other and seemingly kissing, did not immediately comment on their sighting.
