Miss Universe 2024 pageant extends fan voting

The Miss Universe 2024 fan voting has been extended until the coronation night on Saturday, Nov. 16 (Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Philippines) in Mexico.

The voting site will be open until Saturday, 6 p.m. Central time (Sunday, 8 a.m. in the Philippines), heeding the call of pageant fans.

“We heard you! Voting extended until final night,” the announcement shared on the organization’s Instagram page read. “The Fan voting continues until 6 pm CST on a Final day!”

The delegate who will emerge as the fan vote winner will have a guaranteed spot in the Top 30. The Top 30 semifinalists will be narrowed down to 12, then five. One of the five candidates will be crowned the titleholder,vwhile the rest of the finalists will be runners-up.

Chelsea Manalo is representing the Philippines in the international competition, vying alongside 124 other delegates to inherit the crown from reigning queen Sheynnis Palacios.

The Bulakenya beauty queen is also aiming to win the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown, following Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015, and Catriona Gray in 2018.
