Hints point to Belle Mariano singing Filipino version of ‘Moana 2’ track
Belle Mariano has appeared to have been tapped to sing the Filipino version of “Moana 2” soundtrack “Beyond.”
In an Instagram post, Disney Studios Philippines shared a behind-the-scenes look that teased at the singer lending her vocals for the Filipino version, “Anong Daratnan.”
The footage included the soundbites of the lyrics, “Ako si Moana. Lupa at karagatan, sa sarili, ay tapat, sumpa ko man. Hahayo, lalayo, n’ang puso may madatnan.”
“Does the voice ring a bell? Guess who’s the singer behind “Anong Daratnan,” the Filipino version of “Beyond” from Disney’s #Moana2PH,” the studio wrote in their caption.

While the video did not reveal the full face of the singer, fans believed the features as well as the voice all pointed to Mariano.

For the international version, “Beyond” will be sung by American actress Auliʻi Cravalho, who is set to reprise her role as the titular character in the second installment.
The song was written by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, who took over songwriting duties from the first film’s composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda.
“Moana 2” is set to sail in Philippine cinemas on Nov. 27.
