TOKYO — The Miss International 2024 pageant has been slowly making changes in the way the competition is being held, and this year’s edition will see more updates to the beloved global tilt.

All delegates will still parade in their national costumes, as in the previous editions, during the opening segment of the finale show that will be held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

But the number of semifinalists in the 2024 contest will be raised from the previous editions’ group of just 10, 12, or 15 ladies.

This year, 20 semifinalists will be called, and it will include the top online vote-getters from the three regional clusters–Asia and Oceania, Europe and Africa, and the Americas.

Joining them are the 17 ladies who received the highest scores from the preliminary evaluation held last Sunday, Nov. 10, and the evening gown parade in front of the judges on Tuesday, before the start of the coronation show.

Only the Top 20 will take part in the swimsuit competition this time around. Before, all delegates also paraded in the swimwear and gown segments during the finale show.
