Troy Montero doing ‘fine’ after figuring in race car accident
Troy Montero assured his followers that he is safe after getting into a car accident while racing, although he shared that his vehicle is “not in good shape.”
On his Instagram, Montero shared a video showing his black racecar with its mangled hood, bumper, and fender before it was taken by a tow truck. Workers were also seen removing some parts of the vehicle and sweeping off the race track.
The video then transitioned to the actor driving the vehicle before hitting one of the barriers on the track.
“I had a pretty big crash this morning… I’m OK, I got the wind knocked out of me but my car is not in good shape,” he said. “It’s gonna take a miracle for the boys to fix it in time for today’s race. I’m not even sure it’s possible but the team said they will try their best.”

In a separate post, Montero then showed a glimpse of his team swapping parts of the wrecked vehicle into a different race car, however, it wasn’t enough for him to finish the race.
Article continues after this advertisement“The team worked tirelessly to get me ready for the first race, swapping parts from my wrecked car onto my old Promotional Class car. It hasn’t run in a few years, and it’s a bit heavy, but the crew gave me the chance to race — and that’s what counts,” he said.
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish the race, but it was an incredible effort by everyone just to get me to the starting line. Now it’s back to the paddock for repairs, hoping for another shot at racing tomorrow,” he added.
