Ahead of its 2025 release, Netflix released a teaser revealing the official titles of the final eight episodes of “Stranger Things” season 5.
To celebrate “Stranger Things Day” on Nov. 6, the day Will Byers was abducted into the Upside Down in 1983, the streaming platform teased the titles that will conclude the supernatural story of Hawkins, Indiana.
“In the fall of 1987, one last adventure begins. Stranger Things 5 coming 2025,” the post’s caption read.
The episode titles are “The Crawl,” “The Vanishing of…,” “The Turnbow Trap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape from Camazotz,” “The Bridge,” and “The Rightside Up.”
As of writing, the teaser garnered almost 1.5 million views on YouTube and various comments from fans who couldn’t contain their excitement for the final season.
“‘The Rightside Up’ as the last episode has a nice ring to it because [season] 1’s last episode was ‘The Upside Down,’” said one fan.
“I love how there is a parallel between the first season and final season with the first and last episode of each being opposites, like it literally gives that sense that it’s the end,” pitched in another fan.
Aside from the play in the episode titles, the teaser also confirmed a time jump, as the fifth season will pick up more than a year after the events of the previous season. Season 4 ended with Vecna opening a massive gate to the Upside Down, leading to terrible destruction in Hawkins.
The original ensemble Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp, are set to grace the “Stranger Things” universe for one last time
Latter additions Sadie Sink, Brett Gelman, Maya Hawke, Jamie Campbell Bower and Amybeth McNulty are also expected to return for the final season.
Aside from the familiar faces, season five will also introduce Linda Hamilton, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly and Alex Breaux as new cast members.
Despite the show concluding at season 5, the “Stranger Things” universe is set to expand through an upcoming live stage play and an untitled animated spinoff series.
