Jayda Avanzado re-created her mother Jessa Zaragoza’s iconic album covers for this year’s Halloween as a way of paying tribute to her as a “phenomenal diva.”
Avanzado took to Instagram to share her photos wearing the same outfits and posing exactly as her mother in three different album covers.
The 21-year-old singer donned a deep-red cocktail dress for her first look, giving off a sultry vibe as Zaragoza for the “Ibigay Mo Na” album.
Avanzado then showed off a girl-next-door look in her second ensemble as she sported a crop white top matched with jeans to replicate her mother’s “Just Can’t Help Feelin’.”
For her final look, the “Right Lover Wrong Time” singer was a sight to behold in a deep yellow matching suit to copy Zaragoza’s “Best of Best” album.
“When I got the theme for #ShakeRattleandBall (Icons, Legends, and Freaks), I just knew it was the perfect time to put into motion this idea for a shoot that I’ve had for a year now… I thought it was only fair to pay tribute to the first icon I’ve ever known; my mama, or as people know her, the Phenomenal Diva: Jessa Zaragoza,” Avanzado captioned her post.
“The most special part of this shoot, by far, is the fact that I got to recreate her most iconic album covers wearing the exact replicas of her clothes, made by her OG designer, Tita Maxie Cinco,” she added as she went on to thank her team for helping her pull off the vision.
In the comments section, Zaragoza expressed her appreciation for the tribute from her daughter.
“WINNER!!! I’m so honored, Anak! Thank you!!! You guys killed it! Congrats to you & Team Jayda!” wrote the seasoned singer.
Fans and friends also commended Avanzado for embodying her mother’s demeanor.
“When you talk about THE OPM, your mama is one on the lists in my mind. That’s so cool! You nailed it! You should do an album collaboration with your mom with her songs,” wrote one fan.
Jayda is the only daughter of Zaragoza with her husband and fellow musician, Dingdong Avanzado.
Jayda recently released her debut album, “Sad Girl Hours.”
