Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin will once again bring their chemistry to the big screen as they are set to star in their comeback movie “Ex Ex Lovers.”
The pair’s upcoming film was announced by production companies Cornerstone Studios and Project 8 Projects through their respective Instagram pages on Thursday, Oct. 31.
“Ito na ang COMEBACK na hinihintay niyo (This is the comeback that you have been waiting for)! After more than 2 decades, MARJO (Marvin-Jolina) is back on the big screen!” Project 8 Projects’ caption reads.
Agustin expressed his excitement for the project via his Instagram page while showing clips from their old films and recent reunion.
“Mga batang 90s! After 25 years! Finally, eto na,” he said. (To the 1990s kids, after 25 years, finally this is it!)
The film will be helmed by director JP Habac, who is best known for his movies “I’m Drunk, I Love You” (2017) and “Love You Long Time” (2023), and the web series “Gaya sa Pelikula.”
In their comeback film, Magdangal and Agustin will star alongside Juan Karlos Labajo and Loisa Andalio. Further details on the movie, including its plot and release date, have yet to be revealed as of this writing.
Magdangal and Agustin’s love team was one of the most famous celebrity love teams in show biz in the 1990s. The last movie they headlined was the 1999 film “Hey Babe!”, although they still worked together in the 2008 film “I.T.A.L.Y.”
Their other films include “Flames: The Movie” (1997) and “Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?” (1998).
