CJ Opiaza of the Philippines is one step closer to the crown as she secured a spot in the Top 5 of Miss Grand International 2024 at the coronation night in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, Oct. 25.
Joining Opiaza in the Top 5 are candidates from Myanmar, Brazil, India, and France.
Before announcing the top 5 finalists, the delegates wore their white ensemble as they championed their respective advocacies while Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World” played in the background.
Opiaza‘s advocacy centered on debunking hatred, greed, and violence as she emphasized that beauty lies within and world peace.
“If only we didn’t allow greed to beat in our hearts, we wouldn’t be able to give birth to violence. Now is the time to mend what is broken,” she stated.
To the tune of “Moonlit Floor” by Blackpink’s Lisa, the delegates then walked the runway in their colorful evening gowns. Opiaza exuded pure elegance with her shimmering silver gown with intricate cutouts.
At the end of this round, reigning titleholder Luciana Fuster will pass the Miss Grand International crown to her new successor.
