Gardo Versoza, Arnold Clavio throw shade at candidates running without plans
Seasoned actor Gardo Versoza and veteran broadcaster Arnold Clavio seemingly threw shade at political candidates running for public office but can’t seem to provide clear platforms.
Clavio recently took to Instagram to poke fun at “unprepared politicians” by devising a “scientific term” in reference to them.
“Cacatua mangmagusamus (noun),” read the art card. “Scientific name ng mga kandidatong gustong manalo pero walang plano.” (Scientific name for the political candidates who want to win but have no plans.)
In the comments section, Versoza laughed at the statement, remarking, “Kanya-kanyang diskarte talaga para makaahon sa buhay at magkamal ng salapi.” (To each their own in getting ahead of life and accumulating money.)
The pair’s innuendos seemed to be a response to TV host and senatorial aspirant Willie Revillame, who recently said in an interview that he hasn’t “thought” of any plans yet to address the country’s problems as he will only do so once he already wins.

In his caption, the “Unang Hirit” mainstay host underscored that it’s already time for public officials to be transparent about their funds.
“Panahon na, na maging transparent sa paggamit ng intelligence at confidential funds. Tanging pondo na inilaan na may direktang kaugnayan sa national security ang higpitan. Bigyan ng dagdag na poder ang Commission on Audit (COA) para mahimay pa kung naabuso ang naturang pondo . Kundi agad kikilos, palobo ng palobo at palaki ng palaki ang hihinging intel at confidential funds ng mga susunod na pangulo,” weighed in Clavio.
(It is time to be transparent in the use of intelligence and confidential funds. Only funds allocated that are directly related to national security should be secured. Give more power to the Commission on Audit (COA) to investigate if such funds have been misused. If there’s no immediate action, the next presidents will ask for more and more intel and confidential funds.)
