Seunghan of RIIZE will return and the band will reorganize as a seven-member act from November, said label SM Entertainment on Friday, October 11.
The management company broached the subject with a lengthy statement, telling fans how the band was originally planned as a septet and how deeply repentant he has been.
“We poured our heart and soul into planning out RIIZE even before their debut, and we have determined that RIIZE’s next chapter would be even more meaningful if the seven members were together. Therefore, after numerous discussions with the staff and members about the direction of the group’s future activities, it has been decided that Seunghan will be returning to the group,” SM Entertainment said via a Soompi translation.
“After joining the group and preparing for a certain amount of time, we plan for Seunghan to gradually participate in some of the group’s scheduled activities for November and greet the fans once again,” it added.

Seunghan suspended activities about a year ago after a series of scandals followed him from debut.
After the announcement, he uploaded a handwritten letter apologizing again for letting fans and bandmates down. He thanked the members for giving him another chance and promised to be responsible and indispensable to the team.
The band ran a pop-up store in Seoul until last week to mark the first anniversary of their debut as well as the release of the “Riizing: Epilogue” EP, a follow-up to their first EP “Riizing.”
