Since debuting in 2022, P-Pop boy group Vxon has performed on stages with a considerable distance from the audience. But just recently, they sang at just arm’s length from a crowd that includes their “Vixies” (fandom).

They performed at the “Here Comes the Boom” launch of a Korean electronics store. Though surprised with the setup, the group’s members C13, Vince, Sam, Patrick, and Franz enjoyed the unique experience.

“Ngayon ko lang masasabi na kakaiba, kasi parang first time naming mag-perform na sobrang lapit nila. Kasi pawis-pawis kami, so iyong pawis naman medyo ano na (I can say that this is unique, it’s like our first time performing with them really close. We were all sweaty, and our perspiration was a bit much),” Patrick told INQUIRER.net in an interview at the end of the show.

Franz jested, “kumbaga 4D kami (it’s as if we were in 4D), 4D experience.” And Patrick shared how fun it was for them, with the Vixies cheering them on, showing their full support.

For Vince, their fans’ support has been tremendous, that some of them even travel far just to catch their performances. “Thank you so much, Vixies,” he said.

Sam shared a time when Manila-based Vixies even flew to Cebu to watch them, while Patrick said others endured hours of traveling by land to see them in Ilocos.

“Nagugulat na lang kami nando’n sila. Nagugulat na lang kami may mga banners na po sa audience. (We were surprised. We were shocked to see banners in the audience),” Franz said.

He said thinking of the support they enjoy from their fans lifts their spirits whenever they feel down, or get tired. “Hanggang sa may naniniwala sa amin na tao, magko-continue kami (As long as there are still people believing in us, we will continue) to our journey,” Franz declared.

The group’s members said that now that they are musicians, reliable speakers are essential. Vince also said a good speaker helps boost his mood, so he can accomplish the tasks he has laid out for himself.

Sam shared that a TV set was the most essential item from his childhood because he enjoyed watching cartoons. “Ngayon mas more on speaker ako kasi sumasayaw kami. Iyon usually iyong (Now we need speakers more because we dance. That is usually my) mood setter for the day. XBoom, yeah!” he exclaimed.

C13, meanwhile, shared that the group is set to perform overseas. “[We are going to have a] Cornerstone all-star concert in Canada.” The show is slated in Calgary on Nov. 8, with another scheduled stop in Toronto on Nov. 10.

Franz also said the group will be part of the songwriting competition “Himig Handog” this year. “May kanta po kami doon called ‘Mahiwaga’ and nag-a-ask din po kami ng support. Support n’yo po ang song namin doon (We have a song there called ‘Mahiwaga’ and we are asking for your support. Support our song there),” he pleaded.

He also said that Vxon is planning to release something by the end of the year. “[Because] we started the year with an album, with a bang. And we want to end the year with a boom!” Franz declared.
