International pop singer Dua Lipa gave some words of encouragement on how to remain positive to Filipino radio host Mo Twister’s 10-year-old daughter, Amsterdam.

During a recent one-on-one interview with Dua Lipa, Mo gave his daughter a chance to ask the final question, given that she’s a big fan of the pop star.

“Can you give people advice, especially girls my age, on how to remain positive even through these challenging times in the world?” asked the 10-year-old girl.

The “Don’t Star Now” singer underscored that one of the ways to stay positive is to have a friend that you can talk to about your struggles.

“That’s a very good question,” she began. “I think a way to stay positive during these times is to talk to your friends if something’s bothering you or you see a friend who’s in need or is struggling with something.”

“A conversation opens up that door where you guys can understand each other and you have this open back and forth. I think you’ll both realize how maybe less alone you feel in the moment. And I think evidently that will make you both feeling very positive, just realizing that you have each other,” added the singer.

Lipa also shared that she felt the most uplifted when she received compliments from her peers and every time the fans told her she touched their lives.

“I also love compliments from my peers and having those conversations and being seen as artists. When I’m in the street and I bump into someone and they tell me that the music has touched them or they like a recent performance or they’d been to see one of my shows or something like that,” she explained.

“You know, all of those are really, really wonderful. And I think all of those mean a lot to me, you know, because it makes me feel like I’m doing the right thing, you know, with my life or like I’m on the right path if I’m able to touch people in that way,” continued the singer.

After six years, Lipa is set to return to the Philippines in November to stage another solo concert.

When Mo asked what quality that the Filipino audience has that she finds unique, Lipa said that it is the “fun and too much energy” that she finds distinctive.

“I think the energy in the shows is always so much fun. I don’t know how many decibels it goes up to in like excitement and screaming, you know, hearing and all the lyrics sung back to me so that’s always a very exciting one,” she stated.

The “Levitating” singer also shared that she enjoys Filipino food, especially lumpia, and she is looking forward to eating them again.
