Jennie Kim of Blackpink is once again amplifying the excitement among her fans after her first solo comeback teaser drew massive traffic to her website.

After launching a countdown on September 18 until 8 AM KST on September 19, the site showed a warning that their systems were experiencing high traffic and asked the visitors to wait.

Once the visitors reached the end of the waiting list and filled out the necessary information, they will be greeted with a voice note from Jennie herself, saying, “Hi Rubies, it’s Jennie. Stay tuned and see you soon. Love you.”

This personal message drew further intrigue from fans, especially after the K-pop star recently signed with Columbia Records for her solo activities.

Jennie addressing the fans as “Rubies” also made the fans assume that it was the new fandom name for her solo fanbase.

However, the “Solo” singer’s personal agency, OA Entertainment, released a statement to Korean outlets, including AllKpop, that the “term was randomly used to refer to the fans on a one-time basis, and this does not mean that it is Jennie’s official fan club name.”

Earlier this month, Jennie’s management issued a statement confirming that the K-pop superstar is releasing new music in October.

This much anticipated comeback will celebrate the one year of Jennie’s last solo track, “You and Me,” which debuted in October 2023.

Aside from releasing music, the Blackpink member is also expanding her horizons in the acting or variety show aspect after she recently joined the star-studded cast of “My name is Gabriel.”

Despite already venturing into their solo careers, all Blackpink members—Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo—are set to reunite for a full-group comeback and world tour in 2025, YG Entertainment previously confirmed.

Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa recently established their own label to handle their solo activities. While Rosé is rumored to be doing the same sometime soon.
