Dominic Roque laughed off the apparent speculations surrounding his relationship with his close friend Kathryn Bernardo, saying these merely stemmed from claims of “delulu” (delusional) and “toxic” people on social media.
The actor showed photos taken in July through his Instagram page on Wednesday, Sept. 11, sharing a peek at what appears to be an intimate gathering with a group of friends that includes Bernardo.
The comments section was filled with remarks about Roque and Bernardo. Some admired the pair’s friendship, while there were others who seemingly insisted on the supposed brewing romance between the two.
One Instagram user then lamented, “Gone are the days when [Dominic] could freely and randomly post ng solo pictures ni Kath sa feed niya without these crazy people thinking any other things about it.”
“Di niyo ba alam na miss na namin mga pa-pictorial ni [Dominic] kay [Kathryn], tapos pino-post niya any time,” the netizen continued. “Siya ang number one source namin ng [pictures] ni [Kathryn] outside work kahit noon pa.”
Aside from fans who nodded in agreement with the netizen, Roque also replied and shared his sentiment on the matter.
“Kasi iniisipan nila ng kung ano ano.. mga delulu. Mga toxic sa [social media],” the actor wrote, adding a laughing face emoji.

Roque and Bernardo have been friends for years and were formerly in the same circle with the actress’ ex-boyfriend, actor Daniel Padilla.
Prior to this, Roque already dismissed dating speculations involving him and Bernardo. He also underscored that the two of them share a relationship comparable to those of siblings.
