‘Marvel’ star Karen Gillan pregnant with first child

“Guardians of the Galaxy” actress Karen Gillan announced she is pregnant with her first baby as she flaunts her baby bump for the first time at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

During the premiere of her upcoming drama film “Life of Chuck” at this year’s TIFF, Gillan graced the red carpet wearing a neon yellow bodycon dress that highlighted her protruding belly, all smiles as she posed for photos.

“COMING SOON! ‘The Life of Chuck’ and ‘untitled baby’” she wrote in her caption on Instagram.

Fans and fellow celebrities, including Marvel co-star Zoe Saldaña, extended their congratulations to the soon-to-be mom.

Last year, Gillan revealed on Instagram that she secretly married her partner Nick Kocher in May of 2022 as she shared a series of snapshots from their Scottish wedding.

The 36-year-old actress previously shared that she met her husband because of the “recommended friends list on Instagram,” saying that it was the “algorithm” that brought them together.

Gillan gained recognition as an actor after she played Amy Pond, the primary companion to the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), in the science fiction series “Doctor Who” (2010–2013).

She then rose to international stardom after landing the role of Nebula for several films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Her other film credits include the horror film “Oculus” (2013), the “Jumanji” film series, and “Gunpowder Milkshake” (2021), and more.

Meanwhile, her upcoming film, “The Life of Chuck,” will also star “Loki” star Tom Hiddleston, Kate Siegel, Mark Hamill, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, among others.
