In celebration of the national reservist week, Arci Muñoz encouraged her fans to enlist as reservist and serve as an inspiration to the younger generation.
The actress showed herself singing Unit 406’s song “Mandirigma” alongside fellow celebrity reservists Ronnie Liang and Geneva Cruz at what appears to be a reservist event, via Muñoz’s Instagram page on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
“Sa [limang] taon ko na pagiging isang Air Force reserve, lagi kong sinasabi sa mga tanong kung bakit ako naging bahagi ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas—bakit? Dahil naniniwala ako na ito ay isang paraan para mapagsilbihan ko ang aking mahal na bayan,” she said in the caption.
“Naniniwala ako na ‘pag may pagkakaisa at disiplina ay may magandang pagbabago. [Makakamit] natin ang kapayapaan na akin lamang minimithi,” she continued.
Muñoz also stressed that the act of joining the reserve force further acknowledges the sacrifices of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
“Kaya naman hinihikayat ko kayo mag-enlist at magbigay inspiration para sa susunod na henerasyon,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Muñoz, alongside her other fellow reservists, participated in a taped episode of GMA game show “Family Feud.” The show is led by actor-TV host Dingdong Dantes, who is also part of the reserve force.
Muñoz earned the rank of sergeant under the Philippine Air Force Reserve (PAFR) Command in 2020. In 2021, she also received special recognition from the Philippine Air Force for her “active participation” in the different relief operations.
