After much anticipation, the Miss Grand Philippines pageant has finally announced its schedule for the 2024 edition.

Arnold Vegafria, head of organizer ALV Pageant Circle, revealed the details upon prodding from members of the media who attended the send-off press conference of Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano for the 2024 Face of Beauty International pageant held at Pandan Asian Café in Quezon City on Friday, Sept. 6.

He said the 2024 Miss Grand Philippines coronation night will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on Sept. 29.

The pageant was initially scheduled to take place in August, a month after Vegafria’s other national pageant, the Miss World Philippines competition.

Even the final screening for applicants has been moved several times. For now, Vegafria has set Sept. 18 as the official schedule of the selection, and the presentation of candidates will be conducted on the same day.

He, however, did not disclose the venue of the final screening, as well as the preliminary competition show scheduled on Sept. 26.

With the international competition scheduled next month, the country’s eventual representative will have very little time to prepare. But Vegafria said this is also the case in several other Latin American countries whose national pageants are set around the same time as the Philippine contest.

Nikki De Moura will relinquish her Miss Grand Philippines crown to the national pageant’s winner, who will compete in the global tilt which will hold activities in both Thailand and Cambodia.

The national pageant will also select the country’s delegate to the 2025 Universal Woman competition, who will try to score back-to-back wins for the Philippines and inherit the title from Maria Gigante.

Vegafria said he may award three to four national crowns in this year’s Miss Grand Philippines pageant, but he did not disclose what other titles they are.

The Philippines still has not scored a victory in the Miss Grand International pageant. The highest placement for the country were the first runner-up finish posted by Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo in 2016 and 2020, respectively.
