Rayver Cruz unbothered by fans who don’t like him for Julie Anne San Jose

Rayver Cruz admitted that he’s aware that some of the fans of his girlfriend, actress-singer Julie Anne San Jose, are not in favor of their relationship, although he reiterated that he would rather see it in a positive light.
In a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on Tuesday, Sept. 3, Cruz admitted said he has been on the receiving end of negative comments about his romance with San Jose.
“May mga makikita pa rin ako, like sa social media na talagang ina-attack pa rin ako or binabash, pero hindi ko na lang po pinapansin (I still see them. In social media, some would still attack or bash me but I don’t pay attention to them),” he said.
The actor, however, clarified that there are fans of San Jose who are supportive of their relationship.
“‘Yung mga core group ng JAmantes, sila mismo ‘yung nagme-message sa’kin [and] natutuwa ako,” he said, referring to San Jose’s fandom. “Thank you kasi sila ‘yung nagme-message na parang nirere-assure nila ako na, ‘Hindi ‘yan part ng core group namin kasi kami, happy kami. Mahal namin si Julie. Kung sino ‘yung mahal ni Julie, mahal namin.’”

Article continues after this advertisementDespite the negative comments, Cruz remains unbothered, as he noted that it’s something out of their control. “Okay lang din naman kasi wala, Tito Boy, hindi na natin mako-control ‘yun eh.”
The “Asawa Ng Asawa Ko” star also stated that he and San Jose are open to discussing the particular topic, while noting that she, too, follows a more positive mindset.
“Si Julie, very positive siya ngayon. Sana nakatulong ako sa aspect na ‘yun… kapag may mga ganoong pangyayari or mahirap pag-usapan, imbis na pag-usapan in a negative way, pinag-uusapan namin siya in a positive way,” he said.
(Julie has a more positive mindset now. I hope I was able to influence her in some way. When it comes to topics that are hard to discuss, rather than talking about it in a negative way, we address them positively.)
Cruz and San Jose went public with their relationship at the “Maria Clara at Ibarra” star’s “JulieVerse” concert in November 2023.
While the couple believes they’re each other’s “The One,” they reiterated that they’re not rushing to settle down since they still want to fulfill their dreams as a couple and as individuals.
