MJ Cayabyab stressed that all is well between him and the production of the Willie Revillame-led show “Wil to Win,” noting that he needed to resign as its co-host due to his hectic schedule.

Days after revealing his resignation, Cayabyab addressed the supposed “made-up stories” circulating on social media, via a video on his X (formerly Twitter) last Sunday, Sept. 1.

“To clarify things, for those who don’t know me, I do travel content; I’m a singer, actor and we also have a business,” he said. “Ang ‘Wil to Win’ kasi live from Mondays to Fridays. So after ng live show, buma-byahe pa ako from Novaliches to Pasig to also check the stores.”

“At first talaga akala ko kaya ko, pero akala ko lang pala. Nung tumatagal na ‘yung gano’ng routine, nagkakasakit na ako,” he stated. “So, I really had to make a difficult decision to choose kung ano lang ang kaya ng katawan ko.”

Cayabyab said he decided to focus on his business, but he underscored that he appreciates the fans who expressed concern over his absence from the show.

“May mga bagay lang talaga na kailangan nating mamili… But thank you for everything, for all your support—and okay po kaming lahat,” he stressed.

Cayabyab was among the variety show’s original hosts along with Ana Ramsey, Sam Verzosa, Cindy Miranda and Roberta Tamondong, among others.

“Wil to Win” earlier made headlines after Revillame aired his dismay over the staff of the show, with some netizens pointing out how he lectures even his co-hosts on air.

Revillame also recently took back a player’s chance to win a cash prize after he learned that the latter is an avid fan of the show’s competitor “Family Feud.”
