Janine Gutierrez was ecstatic and beaming with pride as she graced the Venice Film Festival red carpet for the premiere of her Lav Diaz-helmed movie “Phantosmia.”
The actress donned a custom Vanie Romoff low back, powder-blue dress at the event, as seen on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Sept. 3. “Phantosmia” premiered in the La Biennale di Venezia under the Out-of-Competition section.
“Today was a dream come true!” she captioned the post.
Gutierrez also gave a glimpse of the photocall for the film cast and director Diaz, by sharing La Biennale’s post via her Instagram Stories.
Aside from Gutierrez and Diaz, cast members Hazel Oriencio, Ronnie Lazaro, Paul Jake Paule and Dong Abay, and producer Paul Soriano were present at the event as well.
In a separate post, Gutierrez recalled how she only became part of the film’s cast because of “last minute changes.”
“Celebrating the entire cast and team! And [thank you, Lord,] for great coincidences and timing,” she said.
According to the film’s Instagram page, the movie revolves around the story of Lazaro’s character, Hilarion Zabala, who has a mysterious olfactory problem.
