Rern Nat, Cambodia’s delegate to the 2018 Miss Universe pageant, is coming back to the Philippines seven years since her last visit to the country. And she will be joined this time by her boyfriend, reigning Mister Friendship International Leav Vang Hour.
The couple will visit Manila to promote their movie “Z-Mom,” about a mother who survives a zombie outbreak while on a family trip on an island, and her quest to save her loved ones who have all been infected.
“Mabuhay, Philippines! I’m eager to announce that I will be in Manila on the 26th of August for an exciting meet & greet/movie screening of Z-Mom at SM Megamall!” the Cambodian beauty posted on social media.
Nat first visited the Philippines in 2017 to undergo preparations for the 2018 Miss Universe pageant, held in neighboring Thailand. Filipino delegate Catriona Gray bagged the crown in the competition that year. “I can’t wait to see the same warm smiles of the Filipino fans as well as experience how the city has evolved,” she said.
She added that members of the Sastra Film Production will join her and Hour in the trip to Manila. “Come show us some love! [Cambodian flag emoji][red heart emoji][Philippine flag emoji]” Nat posted on social media.

She plays the lead role in the movie, while Hour plays the role of her husband. “‘Z-Mom’ is a compelling feature film set in Cambodia in 2024. The story follows a woman who, along with her spouse and children, visits an island operated by a private corporation owned by her foreign acquaintance,” the film’s IMDB entry said.
“The island soon reveals its sinister nature, leading the woman to plan a swift departure with her family. Unfortunately, their escape becomes impossible as the island falls prey to a zombie outbreak, resulting in her spouse and children turning into zombies,” the IMDB entry continued.
During the event, the public will have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie, meet the actors and take photos with them, and learn more about “Z-Mom.” The meet-end-greet event is scheduled at 5 p.m., while the special screening of the movie will be at 6 p.m.
