Actress-host Vice Ganda paid tribute to her first fur baby, Chip In, as she expressed her pain at losing her loyal companion for the past six years.

The “It’s Showtime” host took to her social media accounts to pen a heartfelt message for her beloved dog, along with a picture of them two.

“You have been with me for more than 6 years. You were my first fur baby. You were my source of joy when I was so down. You made me look forward to coming home from a very exhausting day. You stayed beside me when I was lonely. You listened to me when I was upset. You kissed me when I was crying,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post on Thursday, Aug. 22.

“When you were sick, I asked you to fight because I was not ready to lose you. I was too weak. It would break me. And you made sure to survive. We were so happy. I knew you fought hard enough to stay with me. But today, I guess it’s really time to say goodbye and let you run and play in heaven,” continued the comedian.

Vice Ganda stated that she couldn’t stop crying over the loss of her baby, and she thanked the Lord for their time together.

“I’m so sad. I have been crying since morning. I didn’t know that losing a fur baby would hurt this much. I realized you were not just a dog. You were my baby. My family. My true friend. You gave me so much love. And I loved you with all my heart. I thank God for you,” concluded the actress.

In the comments section, fellow celebrities extended their condolences to the comedian, including Bela Padilla, Pokwang, Ogie Alcasid and Angeline Quinto, among others.

In 2018, the “Private Benjamin” star first shared a story about her dog in an episode of “It’s Showtime,” detailed how she received “real love” from Chip In.

“Tuwang tuwa ako sa aso ko na si Chip In. Parang nakakaramdam ako ng totoong pagmamahal sa kanya, ‘di ba? Sa mga panahon na nararamdaman mo ‘yung iba mga tao iniiwan ka, (siya) nanatiling nag-aantay sa’yo sa pintuan sa muli mong pagdating,” she shared at the time.
