BTS’ Jin is gearing up for new music as he is set to release his first solo album in the second half of 2024, according to a press statement from HYBE.

The K-pop giant announced on Wednesday, August 7 that the BTS member will drop a solo album within the year, although details of its release, concept, and tracklist remain under wraps.

While touching on HYBE’s financial results in the year, the corporation said its artists will proceed with giving “stellar performances” in the second half of the year, which includes new music from Jin.

“Artists under HYBE Music Group APAC will continue to deliver stellar performances in the second half of 2024, starting with the solo album release by Jin of BTS later this year, along with Seventeen’s new album release and world tours across the U.S. and Asia,” it said.

The K-pop giant also shared that fans can also expect concert tours and new music from K-pop groups Enhypen, LE SSERAFIM, and NewJeans.

“Enhypen will hold encore concerts in Asia, and LE SSERAFIM is scheduled to release their 4th Mini Album in August. NewJeans teased their plan to embark on their first world tour next year,” it said.

HYBE also revealed that it earned the industry’s highest second quarter revenue of W640.5 billion (approximately P26.8 billion) for the first half of 2024, among many other achievements.

“The second half of 2024 marks the beginning of our new era that focuses on fostering music, platform, and tech-driven future growth initiatives for long term success,” said HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee.

“HYBE will further solidify its core capabilities in music, while structuring both future IPs and fandom business models that reflect the changing market environment,” he continued.

Jin was the first BTS member to be discharged from the military in June 2024. Among his post-military activities include a hug event in the same month and gracing the torch run at the 2024 Paris Olympics in July.

Founded as Big Hit Entertainment, HYBE is an entertainment company composed of various subsidiary agencies such as BigHit Music (BTS and TXT), Pledis Entertainment (Seventeen, TWS, fromis_9, Baekho, Minhyun, Nana, and Bumzu), Source Music (LE SSERAFIM), Belift Lab (Enhypen and ILLIT), and ADOR (NewJeans).
